Re: Chris/Kris for a girl?

I absolutely HATE Chris/Kris on a girl. To mean it seems like such a travesty to shorten such lovely names to limp, impersonal, generic "Chris"
I really like Christine and Christa- they're so bright and sparkly, sharp but delicate. Chris is all middle-aged woman who has "let herself go" wearing only sweats and scrunchies. Or else a quintessial "Pat"
I don't think there's any more teasing potential than there would be with Alex- I just think it's butt ugly
"heavy hometown"
new wave cold-filtered low-calorie dry.

I know. Which is probably why either Chrissy or Christy is more common among younger women nowadays.
