Re: What could you have been named?
My male name was Konstantinos, which eventually went to my brother. My alternate girl first name was Zoë, which ended up my middle name. I'm named for both my grandmas, and I was always going to have at least one of their names. My parents also liked and considered:
Sophia (I was almost almost Sophia, but they wanted to honor both grandmas at once in case they didn't have another daughter)
Penelope
Kalomira
Georgia
Athanasia
Anna
Panagiota
EleftheriaNames they liked but never actually planned on naming me:
Patricia
Michelle
Eleanor
Alice

Thanks! I've grown into it, and the versatility of a "Katherine" based name for nicknames is nice.
Kalomira (Καλομοίρα in Greek, so you'll also see Kalomoira) is an older name meaning good fate. I think it's pretty too, but it doesn't feel very me.
