I think it's rather nice. Not one of my favorites, but still a good name. I prefer Beatrice to Beatrix, which is more harsh, I think.
Nicknames? Swedish Beatrices are usually called Bea, but other nns could be Tris, Trixie, Trissa, Beatie, Tricia...
