In my mom's family, there's a male line, including my grandpa, uncle and cousin, who are named after their grandfather. It repeats Lawrence, Warren, Lawrence, Warren, Lawrence. I don't think it would be weird at all to use Paul.

I'd stay away from using a form of Anthony for a first name, since it's obvious that Anton is one form. It would be like naming all of your kids the same thing. Since it would be honoring, I'm okay with it as a mn in this case.
