Re: Names on my mind (possible faves)

Greta - is constantly on and off my short list. But I don't really care for Margaret and Greta has never seemed like that intuitive as a nn to me anyhow. Wdyt of Coretta? I actually loved that first but feel like Greta is roomier.
Bera - what's wrong with bears?
Chantrea - I say it like "shaun-TRAY-uh" and just love the meaning. Not everyone will like every name so "behind the back" stuff doesn't bother me
Wendy - interesting that you think this works on its own but Greta and Romy don't. Greta feels much more complete and "adult" to me.
Vanya - I know its a dude name but just saw it on a girl on the show "child genius" (or "genius child" ...whatever) and thought it sounded nice. I'm one who like Vaughn on a girl so am always on the lookout for something similar and if not female, at least sort of more feminine sounding.
EJ - would be a nickname :) I love a lot of "E" names for boys and the idea of honoring my FIL John. E______ John might become "EJ" every once in awhile. Just curious as to what people thought about those initials
Hankin - I found while browsing names related to John- Which it is, believe it or not. Having never been a fan of Hank this one actually changed my mind.
Cager - came from Cager Lee, a man featured in the movie Selma. I liked its sort of "antiquated occupation name" feel- like Booker - words turned name before there was a trend to direct it.
Thanks for the feedback!
