I love Rowan on both. It's also one of the few unisex names that (where I live anyway) doesn't seem to lean either way. It's fairly popular too. I know five Rowans, three boys and two girls.
At the moment I'm loving Mari Rowan for a girl. Middle-names, I don't think I'd pair it with something super masculine or feminine because I don't usually like that kind of name, but I wouldn't pair it with anything that could be unisex, not even Kelly or Courtney.
