Where is your family from?Ida is pronounced similarly in Portuguese. The European pronunciation is much better than the English one. I can't stand the English pronunciation. I can see why Ida is still popular in a lot of European countries but extremely old-fashioned in the Anglophone world.

I love, love, LOVE Hilde! Ida, Agnes, and Luzia are also lovely.

Luzia would be awesome! I think it's usable. I would use Roman in a heartbeat.
Roman Amadeus
Roman Emmanuel
Roman Everett
Roman Montgomery

Lydia is a pretty common girls name in my circle, however not pronounced that way.Emilie would work fine, as well.I love the prn. of EE-dah for Ida, it really gives it a since of beauty to me.I've always loved Agnes, called Aggie, personally.Roman & Victor could still very much work.I'm not sure about Luzia or Hilde... maybe?

I love Lydia and I have a huge name crush on Hilde. I would definitely use it, but I have a strong affinity for old German names. I like Emilie, but I prefer the similar sounding Amalia (I mean, it's my daughter's name so I know I'm biased towards it). I like both Roman and Victor, but probably prefer Roman. Victor, while a nice name, makes me think of my mom's favorite soap opera so I have a hard time separating the name from that character.
