ah satan
What do you think of Natasha and what the name backward spells? Would a person be made fun of?

There are many people named Natasha in the world. I don't think any of them are bothered by what their name looks like backwards.

I find Natasha dated and bland, but better than Natalie. I've only known one, and now that she's grown up, only her mother calls her Natasha. Everyone else goes along with her wishes and uses her mn, Lucy.As for spelling it backwards, my friends and I tried that when we were about 11 and it was mildly funny, especially Refinnej, but surely it'd be the opposite of the legendary backwards messages in rock songs and therefore actually a positive?

I bet everyone else will say, "No, she will not be made fun of." However. I have a co-worker named Natasha who is "made fun of" that exact way. Other people have commented upon the fact that her name backwards is "Ah Satan" and she herself likes to point it out. It's all good-natured, though, it doesn't bother her, and I don't think she finds her name to be burden. On the other hand, there was another Natasha whom I knew for a long time and the whole "Ah Satan" thing never came up with or about her. So I'm sure it doesn't happen to every Natasha. So all in all, given the "As Satan" jokes that I have heard about the 50% of the Natashas I've known, I'd say it's possible that a younger kid could be teased that way and it might be bothersome to a younger kid although it isn't to an adult.

OH MY GOSH! It totally does! Wow, that's equal parts disturbing and hilarious. But no, I adore Natasha. It's gorgeous with the slightest foreign flavor that makes it sound mysterious and alluring. I never would have noticed "ah satan", and I really wouldn't worry about it. I even have a habit of reading names backwards and that has never dawned on me. I doubt very many have ever noticed that.

I only heard about it watching a crime show and the killer - Natasha - used that ah satan thing.

I doubt anybody would have the Ah Satan gag pulled on them more than once or twice; the Natashas I knew in school certainly didn't. It's a common enough name that it seems unremarkable. It's a cute, fun kind of name, though it always seems a bit odd to see it on a white girl; when I was growing up, and my husband too, it was very much a black name, Russian origin or not.

I just watched a crime documentary and the killer used that as her name (she is Natasha). I knew a white Natasha, she went by Nat so I thought it was Natalie at first.
