I hear it's used mostly for middle names, similar to Marie. I love it as a first name - it would be very refreshing. As a middle name it seems kinda boring. I love the nickname Ren/Wren. Pretty. A short and sweet name.
I like it. It's my older sister's middle name, so I'm biased. I plan to use it as a middle name if I ever have a daughter some day, since my sister gave one of her daughters my middle name.
I think it's especially refreshing as a first name, though. Would love to see more of that. :)

Would that be RENay or renAY?
I know a male Rene who's the second son in his family. I find that disturbing. On the female side, there's a financial journalist here who does a good job.
Basically, though, it makes me sad because of a school friend of mine who died in a road accident on honeymoon. She was all happy and vibrant and in love, and then she was buried from the church she'd been married in the previous Saturday. This shouldn't affect my view of the name, but it does.

It's nice. I don't hear it often as a fn mostly as a mn. Actually I don't hear it often at all anymore.
It's okay.
It's a good name to have, if a little dated. Renee is a name people "take seriously." It still seems to be a name commonly given as a middle name.
I like it. It's very popular as a middle name here in the US, or at least it has been. Maybe not so much these days.
