Re: A couple of questions about Vincent
1. I really like Vincent. My sister almost used this name on her son (her last name is Gough!)2. Vinko is adorable. I had no idea it was related to Vincent. My daughter LOVES Baby Genius, which has a dinosaur named Vinko on it. It's really a cute nn - totally works. Vince is the only one I would ever use, so I am not great with alternates, sorry. 3. Of your list, I like Vincent Elias and Vincent Raphael.
I would suggest Vincent Andreas, Vincent Lisle, Vincent Roscoe, Vincent Giotto or Vincent Merle.
4. My overall thought is that Vincent is usable, handsome, carries a distinguished flair and recognizable enough to be an asset to any kid today. ______________________________________________

Do you have any more info on Lisle, or is it simply from the place / noun? Vincent Roscoe could be very sweet.Thank you!

Lisle is a variation on Lyle, which is actually from L'isle, which is "the island". It could also be a diminutive of Carlisle, which IS the city (I assume you referred to) in England. I often equate it (incorrectly) with Lyall, which is "wolf", and which I also love. Lisle is my favorite spelling.

Oh. Well don't I feel like an idiot? Of course it's a variant of Lyle. This is what I was thinking of: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisle,_Dordogne
