Re: A couple of questions about Vincent
in reply to a message by Ottilie
I don't have many thoughts on nicknames for Vincent, sorry.
Of your list, I like...
Vincent Alexei
Vincent Bartholomew
Vincent Darcy
Vincent Elias
Vincent Evander
Vincent Jasper
Vincent Raphael
Other suggestions:
Vincent James
Vincent Rory
Vincent Paul
Vincent Jeremy
Vincent Caleb
Vincent Jove
Vincent Benjamin
Vincent Mikhael
Overall thoughts:
I prefer it as a middle name rather than a first name. It feels very upper-class, bordering on snobbish. It reminds me of Vincent Price and by extension Vincent Twice of The Muppets/Sesame Street. When I try to picture a Vincent, a very skinny man in a tweed suit comes to mind - probably from "old money" with ties (or supposed ties) to the nobility/royalty of at least half of Europe, but he's generally very reserved and bookish with few social skills. Sorry that's not a very positive picture?

I'm honestly not very familiar with The Muppets, so I had to google Vincent Twice, and I still didn't recognise it, haha. I don't think the image you painted is very negative, actually; it's quite a literary one, and I appreciate that.
Thanks!
Thanks!
