Do you have any more info on Lisle, or is it simply from the place / noun? Vincent Roscoe could be very sweet.

Lisle is a variation on Lyle, which is actually from L'isle, which is "the island".

It could also be a diminutive of Carlisle, which IS the city (I assume you referred to) in England.

I often equate it (incorrectly) with Lyall, which is "wolf", and which I also love.

Lisle is my favorite spelling.
