I love this name, and also this spelling! My association of Iphigeneia, through its Greek heritage, is an appropriate middle name to accompany Mary!

The opera by Glück is Iphigénie en* Tauride based on Goethe's Iphigenie auf Tauris. Tauride is a place name (Tauris, Tauri), not a separate character (à la Daphnis et Chloé, for example).
