As some of you may have heard or not, this year is the last season of American Idol. It's a bit depressing but at the same time, it does not surprise me; the show has definitely been going down hill for quite some time. Anyways, here are the names of the top 24 contestants. Enjoy (:

Dalton
Emily
Gianna
James

So there's a Jenn and a Jenna? AND a Jeneve? I foresee much confusion...Of those names, I like:Adam
Avalon
James
Jordan (boy)
Lee (prefer on a boy)
Thomas
Trent

Hi !!!I love Avalon as a modern girl name!!!
It is strange but better than other names, sure!I like James, Jordan, Trent and Tristan (but on a boy!!!).I'm thinking about Sonika..
It is pretty and sounds fresh.
But I don't know if it will fit on a real girl.Mackenzie: I agree. It is a boy name for me.
But I don't like it very much.La'porsha: it is so strange...
But is not the first time that I hear this kind of names on American reality tv shows...
But I don't like it. I'm sorry.Other names are boring.Byeeeeeeeeee

Adam - Good, solid name from the Bible
Amelia - Nice sounding but overused
Avalon - Seriously? Thumbs down.
Chris - Nice diminutive for Christopher or Christian (m) and for Christine/a (f), kind of wimpy on its own
Dalton - Not a fan of the surname trend
Emily - Very nice name but very popular
Gianna - Nice enough, a decent classic
James - Solid traditional name from the Bible
Jeneve - Not found on here so I don't know how bad it is, but either way I don't like it
Jenn - Very common but nice enough
Jenna - Less common twist on Jen/Jenny
Jordan - Okay when used on the proper gender (male)
Kory - A weaker variant of Corey
La'porsha - 0/10. Enough said.
Lee - What gender was Lee? Not saying I'm a fan for either, though.
Mackenzie - Finally someone uses it on the right gender!
Manny - Only as a diminutive, please.
Olivia - Nice name but very trendy right now
Shelbie - No thanks.
Sonika - Can't rate because name page is blank
Stephany - What's wrong with Stephanie?
Thomas - Very nice name, second best fit for myself in my opinion
Trent - Not a fan.
Tristan - Decent on a boy, but on a GIRL?!?Honestly, I thought I'd dislike more of them.

Lee is a male.I agree with Jordan (a males name and cringe whenever I hear or see it used on a female. Tristan, yeah awful on a girl.

Thank you for your follow-up.I don't know which gender I prefer Lee on, but either way for some reason I don't like the name on either. However, it is significantly more popular on males, so I kind of figured Lee would be a guy, but I just wanted to ask to make sure.Cheers!
