Addison or Madison?
For a daughter. Pick between the dreaded two. "And by the way, dearie, your punctuation sucks canal water!"

Sorry, but neither one of these names.
Because it means "Adam's SON" and "Maud's SON".

Addison...At least it's vaguely like Allison. And it isn't "mad" .

AddisonMadison makes me think of rashes for some reason. Also Addy > Maddy

Definitely Madison. I actually like it, but I seriously wouldn't use it. It's too common and I hate the nickname Maddy. I hate Addison. It just seems to awkward sounding.

MadisonI kind of prefer Addison for a boy (I think) but I'm more used to Madison on a girl.

Ugh. That's a mean one.
Addison, I think. But barely. They both suck bigtime.Edited to add: I think Adsy would be a cute saving nickname

AddisonI don't love it, but it's fine and doesn't make me cringe like Madison. Also, I like Addy.

I dislike Abigail, which makes me think of Abby, which makes me think of Addy. Which is better than Minusy or Timesy, but still not good.Madeline, with that spelling, was used in my family in the 1890s - the one I know about was named Madeline May and always called May, so I've got no Maddy associations. I'd choose Madison, though, if absolutely necessary, because of it not being Addison!

I like Madison best. I like the m-sound. I think the name sound more completely than Addison.

MadisonMadison at least has some balance to it. Addison seems top-heavy.

Addison but seriously for a boy. Either way, I much prefer Addison over Madison, so... Hmmm

Probably Addison.I like Addy more than Maddy and I like Addison Montgomery from Grey's Anatomy.Madison was the name of a bunch of girls who I knew and liked okay, but never was really friends with.

Addison, if I had to choose.I'm not fond of girls' names ending in -son, but at least with Addison you don't have name starting with "Mad" (though Madeleine is a recent exception to this rule of mine).

MadisonI'm one of the few ones here who doesn't mind either. =DI'd go with w/ Madison if I had to but I do like Addison.

MadisonIt's not that bad. Now that I've met a couple of them and the memory of the stupid mermaid is fading. I sometimes think people resent it because it's kind of nice, and they don't want it to be nice. Alison + Madeline.
Addison is bad IMO, because of the disease and because to me it sounds like an ugly distortion of Alison.

You had to go there, didn't you?No...it...can't....be.....done.....Okay: Madison. Simply because I find it slightly less repulsive than Addison. At least there is no Madison's Disease. The entire three syllables are just marginally better with an M at the beginning.
