Daphne!
in reply to a message by Bex
Definitely Daphne. It's spunky and cute, modern yet classic. Winifred would be my second choice because I love the NN Winnie. Theodora would be third , and Edwina a distant last place. Its frumpy and the wee sound puts me off.Have DH list the names in order, and you order them too. Imagine yelling the name across a playground, that was most helpful for me. Or saying it sternly when they're in trouble. Or saying it playfully. Or all three. Visualizing actual usage of the name. Then compare your lists and see which name is at the top of both. It's normal to have cold feet about a name just before birth. But a long loved name is likely to fit the child well imo. Would you regret not using a name if you don't have another child?
