I’m a bit surprised not to see traditional French names in the top 10 here (except Rosalie and Alexis). It seems a bit unexpected that Quebec would follow the same trends as Anglo Canada.

I live in a French-speaking town(in New Brunswick, though, not Quebec), and I always read the birth announcements. A surprising number of the names are Anglo ones.Not all, though-Oceane(sorry, can't do the accent)is quite popular.

I've met people from French-speaking countries with English names. A couple of months ago I met a young man from France named Logan.

Most of them are French. I'm assuming that, like the SSA list, they don't count accents.

They count hyphens (which the SSA does not do) but they do strip out accents. Lea is probably Léa, for instance.
