I always liked the name Millicent, but I hate the NN Millie. Hate it, hate it, hate it. I can't think of what else you could shorten it to, though. And yeah, that would be an issue for me, because everyone in my family gets a shortened name or nickname.

I normally say that nicknames are avoidable (my name is three syllables and my mother would just correct people when they shortened it) but actually I don’t think Milly is avoidable here!
