Emma or Emily and why?
Emma, because while I like both, I tend to prefer shorter names and I know way too many Emilys (and several Emmas but not as many as the Emilys). I prefer the -a ending in this case.

Chloe or Lily?
Lily, because it's a variant of (and how every stranger spells) my nickname! Besides that, I just don't really like Chloe for its sound or trendiness. It already sounds dated to me.

Luna or Nova?
Yikes, I honestly don't like either much at all, but while I detest Luna, I only dislike Nova.

Helena or Matilda?
Helena, because it's a name I would consider giving to my daughter. It's classic, gorgeous, and uncommon :) I used to dislike Matilda, then I liked it a lot, and recently I've gone back to disliking it. It's starting to sound matronly to me.
