I was wondering what people think of the name Ayla-Kate..Middle names such as Ciara or Leah would be nice..Does anyone have other middle names that might suit Ayla-Kate??..Does any body know what Ayla-Kate means.Or what Ayla or Kate mean ??..I would love to hear what people think !!

Ayla, from the Jean m. Auel Clan of the Cave Bear book series is Hebrew and means Oak tree.
I love the name by its self but am not sure about such an unusual name with such a common name. it is pretty.

I've just called my daughter Tayla Katherine because I liked the sound of Tayla Kate but Katherine sounded better with our surname. It's good to see someone else has such similar taste.

I think the sound of it is okay... I like the sound of Kate a lot.

But I don't think that a middle name that ends with a sounds very good with is since Ayla ends with an a.

Ayla is a dirivitive form from the Hebrew name for Doe. Kate is a dirivitive of Katherine - Greek Pure.
I think Ayla-Kate is really pretty and I think for a middle name, like Ciara or Leah it would sound best if the name ended with an 'a' or 'ah' sound.
Ayla-Kate Nadia
Ayla-Kate Tessa
Ayla-Kate Sacha
Ayla-Kate Julia
Ayla-Kate Fiona
As well as Ayla I really like the name Isla. I think Isla-Kate sounds really pretty.

Isla-Kate is really nice as well !!..I actually did come across the middle name Sacha and um and ar'd it...I think Sacha is nice as well as Nadia. HHmmm..So many names !!!!....Thanks for your thoughts kayfiona.....From Michelle Louise
