Names for boys/girls
I really don't understand: Sydney, Terry, Sandy, Vinnie, Stacy, Jordan, etc. They are all for both genders. I want to know where all of these names started for: Boys or Girls?

All for boys originally. Except for...Terry, Sandy, and Stacy.Terry can derive from Theresa / Teresa (female), or Terence (male).Sandy can be a nickname for a blond person, in which case it's truly unisex, or as nn of Sandra, in which case it's feminine.Stacy / Stacey can be a nickname for either Eustace (male) or Anastasia (female).Sydney is just a "feminized" misspelling of Sidney, an (originally) exclusively male name.I've only heard of Vinnie as a nn for Vincent.Hope this clears things up for you! :-)Miranda

Sydney for girls can be a respelling of Sidonia.
Vinnie can be a nickname for Lavinia.
