extremely unusual name
I have never found my name anywhere. I was named after my uncle Michael. Maybe the spelling could be Mekol or Mecol. I have only seen it once before in the credits at the end of the movie "Mask" which starred Cher. Could you help me maybe find some sort of orgin and meaning of my name?

This name is listed in the babynamers.com database ... but all it says is that it's source is English and its origins unknown. Not too much help, I know.-shannon

When my sister was little, she used to call my friend Nicole, Micole. So what I'm really saying is I have no useful comments to add.

Uncle Michael plus the ending of Nicole would be my guess! Much more distinctive than Michelle or Michaela - your parents did a good job for you.The meaning - well, if you were named after Uncle Mike, just look up Michael by clicking on it, and you're there. Click on Nicole as well, and incorporate that meaning as well if you like. All the best

If you were named after your uncle Michael, then perhaps Micole is simply an alternate spelling of Michael. Also, Micole could be a combo of Michael and Cole.Click on the hyperlink for information about the names.Miranda
