If so, what text tells you that it was David's dog's name? (It would be extra-Biblical history.)Yes, TAMAR means "palm tree," but that doesn't account for the name TAMBRA. It may have ties to TAMBOURINE/TIMBREL.(Also, is TAMBRA a male name or female?)
