Athene
I've seen this as an alternative form of Athena. Is it another transliteration of the Greek name? Also, how would one pronounce Athene? Would it be the same as Athena? Thanks in advance!

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe in Greek Athene is pronounced ath-EN-ee. In English, we pronounce Athene (original form) and Athena with a long e sound but in Greek, Athina is pronounced that way. The late Christina Onassis's mother and daughter had/have this name and pronunciation.

Laura,
the name Athene would be pronounced the same way as Athena. Athene just has a different letter to it. Hope this helps,

Yes, it's another translation of Athena. I remember reading the Odyssey at school ans being very confused because the translation we used referred to her as Athene, and the revision guide called her Athena!
It's pronounced ah-THEE-nee
