I heard Carina is Italian but I might be wrong. It is a beautiful name either way.

Carina is a unique, spunky name. It's sad that it isn't used much in the English culture.

It's pretty. I don't know whether I like Carina or Cara. I'm leaning more towards Cara.

This is such a beautiful name. It's very simple and pretty. I hate when people name their children names like Katarina that just don't flow well and are too complex but this is simply a gorgeous simple name. I prefer the spelling Carina over Karina and I like Corrina (pronounced same way) even better than Carina.

My two best friends are named Carina. So it's nice that Cara means friend or beloved. But in Denmark it's used as another way of spelling the more common Karina.

Italian people used to say "Che Carina!", that means "How cute!" or "What a cute!" It's a good usage, isn't it?

The Spanish noun "carino" (written NOT with "N", but with the SPECIAL SPANISH "N" letter) means "tenderness" or "love".

One of the many, many versions respelled short forms of "Katharina" (my own first name is "Carin", without the "a" at the end), meaning "the pure one".

Could also be the feminine form of the ancient Greek name Carinos (KARINOS in Greek). One of the epithets of the god Apollon.
