In the Greek Tragedy "Medea" written by Euripides, the "Cyprian" refers to the force of love, whenever the characters mention the Cyprian, they're essentially begging to the goddess Aphrodite.
Captain Cyprian Southack (1662-1745) Known for his early New England maps, his naval service, and his involvement with early Massachusetts government. One of his maps helped archeologists to find the pirate ship "Whydah" in the mid-1980s.

I think Cyprian would be cute for a girl, especially paired with a girly middle name like Julia. But the chances of me making that happen aren’t 100%. I would name her Cypria. I prefer Cyprian as a usual boy’s name, but for a girl, it would be unique.

While this is the name of a saint from the 3rd century, it's also a term for a prostitute, based on the people of Cyprus who would have orgies in worship of Aphrodite.
