Beautiful name, but the case of Junko Furuta is all i can think about when i hear this name. And Junko Enoshima, which is better but still not good.
I love this name but it reminds me of the tragic murder of Junko Furtuta.
Both the associations with Junko Enoshima and Junko Furuta is enough to make me not like this name.
I love it said Junk-oh.
I see this and all I can think is Danganronpa.
Because my mom had a Japanese friend with this name when I was growing up, I see this as a very stereotypical name for Japanese women along with Yoko and Keiko (and just about anything ending in -ko). (I’ve heard that nowadays, names ending in -ko are considered old fashioned in Japan, so it’s mostly middle aged and elderly women who have these names, not young adults and adolescents).
Just don't use it in English... oi there, you Junko!
It unfortunately makes me think of Junk-O. It's too bad, because it looks like it could be a cool name.
