Sorry - I know Sancho is a figure in classic literature. But when I hear Sancho, all I can think of is the song "Santeria" by Sublime.
Sancho (1154-1212) was the son of King Afonso I of Portugal and his wife Maud. He later became King Sancho I of Portugal.
Sancho was the oldest son of King Afonso II of Portugal and later became king himself.
Sancho is the name of Gilbert Markham's dog in The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte.
Whenever I hear this name, I think of Sancho Panza from Don Quixote. I really liked the character, so of course this is a positive association. It makes me think of an energetic, enthusiastic person who is always looking for a way to help out.
