Medieval Georgian form of Theodoros (see Theodore), which is still in use today, but rarely so. It has largely been replaced by the newer form Tedore, which is now quite common in Georgia.This name was borne by three Catholicos(-Patriarchs) of Georgia: the first lived in the 7th century, the last in the 15th century.
