Hi! Well, I've always liked Felix. When I was in Austria I knew several people named Felix and they were all exceptionally nice. I don't know what the "real" meaning is, but the mother of a friend of mine who named her boy Felix said it means "happy boy" and I think that's nice. I'd name my son Felix. I don't think Felix the Cat is even around anymore, so I doubt his peers would call him that. I am sooo bad at making suggestions for boys names, but here goes:Felix Samuel
Felix Adam
Felix Aaron
Felix Raymond
Felix William
Felix Julian
Felix Robert
Felix Ryan
Felix John
Felix Caden
Felix Cade
Felix Basil
Felix Henry

I like it a lot, I don't think of the cat (or even the cat food, although it is the only brand our cats will eat, bar one) I immediately think of the Latin.

In theory it's sort of nice, but at least where I live, it'd be very poncy on an actual man._____________________________________________________________________"[David Gest] looks like he's had a lot of plastic surgery done, but not by a plastic surgeon."Elinor

It's funny you ask about this name because I've been talking to my mum and gran about it the last few days. I like it, but wouldn't use it coz I like too many other names and both my mum and gran hate it! My mum said it reminded her of Felix the cat too, surprise, surprise! I do really like it though.

I love Felix. I get a lot of negative feedback about it too. Yeah, it reminds me of Felix the Cat too, but that doesn't bother me :)

Thinking Felix, I never think about a cat. I think more about our youngest son of our Prince Joachim, named Prince Felix of Denmark. And I do love the name, btw, and have it on my list.

I'm not really into very old-fashioned names, but I think it is a nice name. I had a great uncle named Felix - he was a very kind man. Since old fashioned names are being used often nowadays, I think it would be fine to use Felix. Felix James

I quite like it, but I wouldn't use it. My (female) friend went through a phase of signing e-mails and text messages Felix, which I think was a nod to the town she was born in. That's kind of tainted what I think of it as a male name.

I really like it; it's a cool name. I'm not sure if I'd use, but I might consider it. I do think of the cat sometimes, but that's not necessarily a bad association.

I don't care for it. It's rather weak sounding to me - not very masculine. If associations bother you (they don't me), I think of Felix the Cat and Felix Ungar from The Odd Couple.
