As the mom of a young George (he's six and a half), I don't find it at all old man-ish. That could be in part because my aunt Georgiana has been called George for ages. I've only heard of two other young George's so despite its ranking in the U.S. I wouldn't consider it boring or overused. I have heard of more Georgia's lately though. I'm very fond of most of the girl versions, too. (And George as a nn for a Georgia is too cute!)
I'm not reminded of Dubya, but again, that could be because I am the mom of a George, he is what automatically comes to mind when I hear it. Well, him and the curious little monkey, of course. We do call him Georgie, and its terribly cute, imo. :)

It's one of my favourite boys names, popular here, but not at all boring IMO

I really like it, but it seems to be on the rise in the UK at the moment. It was at 14 last year and I reckon it's going to go up at least another place or two this year.

It doesn't remind me at all of George Bush, and doesn't feel old-mannish because I know quite a few my age or younger.

I want to love it because of the meaning, but I hate the sound. I think it's classic enough for Bush not to bother me, but I wouldn't pair it with a W name or use Bush.

I loved the name George. Actually, I still do. Georgie is adorable for a young boy, and the full name has the perfect balance between old-fashioned and modern.

That being said though, I'd not ever use George now. It would be linked (for better or worse) in everyone's mind as Dubya's name.

Its sorta the same thing I think that happened to the name Hillary. When I was a little little girl, I knew a couple of Hillarys that were my age, but I haven't met one since Bill was elected to office.

I love George and I post about it a lot, I think. Or maybe I just think of it a lot but never actually post about it.

It doesn't have that unfortunate Bush connection, but I try to think of other famous Georges to keep the appeal for me. Händel, Cukor, Harrison and most importantly, Jefferson. :)

It is certainly not overused where I live and I think it's safe to say that it's not overused in my country, either.

I really like George and tend to think of it's ties to Greek before I think of anything else. I don't think it is boring and the way these tryndeigh names are taking over, I find it even more refreshing when I see it.

I have come to adore this name, and I think I might use it on a son one day. I don't really find it reminiscent of W. It is sort of old-mannish but obviously I don't care because I like it so much. I don't really find it overused though the popularity level is fairly high, I have only met one George under 40 in my entire life. In any case this is a lovely classic name. (plus I think Geo could be a cute modern nn)

I've really started liking George lately-ever since I met the cutest three year old George on a plane. I don't think of W. Bush-thank God.

George is one of my favourite names, actually! I love it. I don't find it reminicent of W. Bush, rather of Sunday in the Park with George, and if any president, it's more Washington than Bush. I don't think it's boring or overused.

I like George a lot, and I think nn Georgie is cute for a little boy.

ETA: I think it's a bit ridiculous to dislike George because of the President. George is such a classic name, and very common.
