Sage definitely sounds like a sister to Jana and Demi. It has a bit of a trendy feel to me, but I still think it's quite nice. I know a little girl named Sage Isabella (I wouldn't suggest this for your sister since she already has a dd with the mn Elizabeth :-/). Her parents came up with her fn because one is a Sagitarius & one is a Gemini. SA + GE. Kinda corny, but kinda cute. :b

I really like Sage for a boy, its refreshing and i think it would age well

When I first heard it I liked it better for a boy, but now I lean more to using it for a girl. I think because of the herb association (think Rosemary and Tansy), that is making me like it better for a girl. Plus, actress Toni Collette named her DD Sage Florence and ever since I heard that combo, I've loved it for a girl even more.

The first time I heard Sage was while on vacation, a little girl with her younger brother. I have a hard time remembering now if Sage was the girl or her brother, and I can't remember the other name, although I want to say it was something unisex like Austin or Bailey. I really liked it then, for either gender. Now I think its okay, but mostly for a boy.

I have a Demi in my family, Sage I used to love it on a boy only. I just dislike it in general now it's lost it's touch for me.Though I met a girl online named Sage once.

I know a girl Sage, but I have heard it can be used for boys too. It sounds more girl to me though. A bit like Page or Paige.

It's okay. When I first heard it four years ago, I thought it was unique and pleasant, but now I find it pseudotryndee in a bad way (I don't normally care about tryndeeness.) Also, the child I knew with the name was a little terror, so I have bad associations, and lately I just think of the herb, and stuffing/dressing like you'd put in a turkey because of it, not a wise person. I'd almost prefer it for a boy, if I liked it at all.

I like Sage. I'm still debating if I like it better for a boy or for a girl.

I actually always assumed it was a feminine name, until I came here of course! I have never met anyone with this name so I had no preconcieved notions of it being male or female. Even now, knowing it can be masculine, I still can not imagine calling a boy Sage.
