[Opinions] Maura vs. Moira
Pearls Before Swine has got me thinking about Maura today (well, moreso than usual, at least), and - well, while that doesn't directly involve Moira, I'm still curious as to which name everyone prefers. So, Maura or Moira? If you have a favorite combo for either, feel free to post that, too. :)Personally, I prefer Maura (my combo is Maura Primrose), though it's a close call.

Moira is definitely nicer imo. Maura just sounds a bit frumpy to me.

I really like Maura and much prefer that to Moira. The spelling and the 'oi' sound don't do much for me. BTW, I've considered Maura myself, however, my surname is Burns and Maura Burns reminds me of 'more burns.'Maura Primrose is nice.

I love both...But I slightly prefer Maura, it is a bit softer to me. Maura Primrose is enchanting.

I love that comic! Anyway, I prefer Maura. It has a better sound to my ears. I rather like it as an Italian and Spanish name, rather than the anglicized form of Máire (which I would prefer over Moira).

I used to know two Mauras (one we always called Mo) and they both had horrible personalities so that really turned me off to the name. I love Moira though. I think I would love it more anyway. I has more personality to me.

Maura. It seems so much more like a full name than Moira does. Maura Primrose is gorgeous.
