I think for middle names, it sounds a little awkward if the mn ends in an a.

I appreciate Valentina, though I prefer Valentino -- my father bears the name.

Valentina is a nice name, but the nicknames Val, and probably Tina are unavoidable. Leena is NOT a nice nickname, sorry, but it's true! I do think Valentina is a nice name, though.

I like it better than Valentine. I think it's cute, but it is so closely associated with the holiday. I like Valentina nn Val.

I love Valentina. It's one of my favourites. I'd be more likely to use it if Valentine wasn't my favourite boy name.
