I love Isabella. I can't decide between Izzy, Bella, or Isa for it, but I love all those nicknames.
It's common where I live. I know at least one baby Isabella. I don't know any who spell it Isabela but I think it's really pretty that way.
I probably wouldn't use it because I love so many names more, but it's so beautiful I celebrate to see it used at all. It's great as a middle name.
I don't know if I prefer Isabel or Isabella, but I love both. I like Isabel spelled Isabel, Isabell, and Isabelle, but think Isobel is silly and pretentious.
Isabella's better than Isadora. I pronounce Isidora and Isadora slightly differently, and may prefer Isidora.
I used to pretend I preferred Isidora, because it was less common, but I was lying to myself. :)
