Ayla doesn't do much for me. I'm not sure why, maybe sounds incomplete. I don't mind Jacinda although I prefer Jacinta.

I actually like Ayla (I pronounce it with a long A sound and not a long I sound, like Isla), but I don't like the "look" of it because it just looks like a trendy made-up name, even though it's not. :b Also, can't get past the Clan of the Cave Bear association. I like Jacinda, but I used to love Jacinta more. I'm a little neutral on both now, though.

I really dont like Ayla, it doesnt have a nice soudn to me, it sounds like Kayla said by someone who cant say K.I prefer Jacinta because it seems like alot of Australian people i know (and myself) turn d's into t's so sometimes when i say Jacinda (my neighbours name) it turns into Jacinta. But they are both pretty! :D~~~~~~~~~~ Bex ~~~~~~~~~~~

I love Ayla, ever since I was 8 or 9 and there was a sporty, enthusiastic girl on my soccer team with this name. I will probably name my daughter this (which will be in many, many years...)Jacinda, not really my style...I think it'd make a decent middle name, though.

Jacinda isn't my style but I do like Ayla. It's the name of my friend's mother; she was from Turkey and one of the nicest people I've ever met. So it has good connotations for me.

I like Jacinda pronounced with a ya- sound, but I am not sure whether that pronunciation has any historical basis. Jacinta (ha-SEEN-ta) is nice too.
I like Ayla, except that it makes me think of Clan of the Cave Bear.

I don't like Ayla. It's a name to me, like Ella, that doesn't seem to have any substance, I guess because it's almost all vowels (does that make sense?) Jacinda is very pretty. I like it pronounced with a 'J'.

I like Jacinda, and I love Jacinta (ja-SIN-ta). Both were fairly popular in Australia in the 80s and early 90s.I don't mind Ayla, but I wouldn't use it or recommend using it because of the explicit, almost-pornographic nature of the "Clan of the Cave Bear" books in which the main character is named Ayla.:-)

Ayla is a very pretty name. I don't really care for Jacinda.
