[Opinions] Gabriel.
How do you feel about this name? Is it too popular, too cutesy, etc.? What do you think a Gabriel would be like?I'm curious to hear your comments, because I'm considering to put it on my top 15 list of boys' first names. :)Thank you in advance for your feedback! :)

Gabriel is a great, Biblical, masculine name! It's not to popular or cutesy! I imagine a nice boy with lots of personality! I would definately recommend it for your top 15!_________________________________________________

I love Gabriel. I wanted to use Gabriel David, but there my SO has a cousin named this. My Gabriel would have been half hispanic, so I picture a Gabriel as very dark and handsome (dark hair/eyes/complexion) and mischievous :)_____________________________________________________*Lori and David*Future Parents to:

A great name. I think it's actually very masculine and handsome. So when I hear it, I think of a manly guy.

I'm not very fond of anglicisations of Hebrew names, so while I'll pass on Gabriel, I love it's (phoneticised) Hebrew form, Gavriel._____

I love Gabriel. I think it is handsome, classic and international.Gabriel is among the top 30 for boys in Sweden. So I picture a little blond and blue-eyed boy but I can easily see it for a dark-eyed and dark-haird boy too. I have not met a grown-up Gabriel yet."You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."

Gabriel used to be in my top 10.
Gabriel's always been a very strong name to me which is great considering the meaning. I have a character named Gabriel who is a British soldier and was sent to war when the UK sent troops to help the US in Iraq. He's a tall, dark haired, brown-eyed beautiful boy, but no "pretty boy" in manner. Married to a model and has two young children. Rich and happy. :) hehe. I was good to the character..I liked the name too much.-Seda*

Well, personally, I cannot stand the name. Seriously, I'm not just saying that. It's been on my bottom ten for about a year, just narrowly beating Lucas. To me, it envokes the image of a blond-haired little spoilt brat who's yuppy mother thinks his little-mister-wonderful. Gabriel grows up to become "Gabe", a hot-shot lawyer who wears horrible jumpers on his day off. Think the men in this picture:

However, that's just *my* opinion. ^ ^ And, TBH, if I met a hot, broad-shouldered, young Meat Loaf-lookalike with the name, it would rise up in the charts instantly. I guess that makes me kind of shallow. Still, what you think counts. Don't let me put you off. ;-)

Gabriel is one of the strongest, most handsome Biblical names I've ever heard. It's truly my absolute favorite, but it's number three on my top 20 list because it's my significant other's ex-wife's new son's name. Wow...what a mouthful...anyway, every Gabriel I've ever known has been intelligent, sweet, and caring. I do worry about the popularity, but I adore this name."No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."

I think it's really cute! It is popular but if you really love a name it's popularity shouldn't matter at all.Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I LOVE Gabriel. I do not think itis cutesy or popular, well atleast not where I am from.I think a Gabriel would have dark hair with dark eyes. He would be very outgoing and quite popular especially with the ladies.Check Out Blinkyou.com for thousands of custom glitterz and layouts
