[Opinions] Irish Speakers please help! How do you pronounce....?
I know I posted this to the name facts message board but this board gets much more traffic so I figured it was worth a shot to post here too..How do you pronounce Aoibheann & Aoibheal? There are a couple of different pronounciations given for Aoibheann when I looked it up but I wanted to know a few more oppinions. And I know Aoibheal isn't even on this website but I still thought it was interesting. Aoibheann: Is it pronounced Ee-van, ee-veen, ay-van or ay-veen?
Aoibheal: Ee-val, ee-veel, ay-val or ay-veel? or something else entirely?I love most of these pronounciations but the correct one would be prefered. Thanks for any information you can give me. =)

Im not an Irish speaker, but I know Aoife is "EE-fa" and Aoibhe is "EE-va", so Aoibheann is "EE-van".

So would Aoibheal sound like "evil"?

Well, AY-val or EE-val depending on the dialect.

Thankyou! :)I love it pronounced ay-val & ay-van best but I didn't want to use it if it wasn't correct.
