I prefer Sylvia (though I spell it as Silvia.) I think it's extremely underused today and it's gorgeous.

Sabrina is pretty, but I prefer the sound and meaning of Sylvia.

I like Sylvia better because I like the nn Sylvie better than the options for Sabrina and because it just seems more sophisticated. That and I have always far prefered Sabine to Sabrina.

I like both, but I prefer Sylvia because of a slightly annoying teenager I know who is named Sabrina. I love Sylvia, Silvia, Silvana, Sylvie, etc. because of the meaning, the fact that they sound like "silver", and the slightly princessy sound (princessy in a good way!) I also love Sabriel...

I prefer Sylvia. I find it prettier and more whimsical than Sabrina. I also like the nickname Sylvie.
