It's cute as a first name. :)
Yes, keep it simple.

I like it. Rose is simple yet elegant. It always pleases me to see it as a first name. It seems so fresh in that case.

I love the name Rose and while it is gorgeous as a mn, since it just fits so well with so many names, it's also very typical and safe. As a fn I think it's fresh and vibrant and would consider using it myself actually. I love the nn Rosie for it too.

Really like it as a first name. I've only ever met one Rose. I don't like it as a middle, too filler.

I love Rose as a first name! As a middle name it sounds really bland, I agree-- keep it in front. I think it's nice and classy, and Rosie is an adorable nn.

As a middle name, it is fillerish--- as a first name it's lovely!

This is one of my least favourite floral names, along with Jasmine and Poppy. I really, just don't see it's appeal. It's dull, boring, overused and just blah. There are much more prettier floral names than Rose. Rose, is a family name on both sides of the family, so, that's probably why I hate it so much. Most of the girls in the family, have it either as a fn/mn or a longer version of it.Here they areRosa
Rosealine
Emma Rose
Nyka Rose
Rosalind
Rosellina
Rosalba

I am starting to really like this as a first name now ever since a little girl, age 2 with red hair joined my kids' daycare.

I don't like it. It's a little too overused, and for a simple, short, girl name there are so many other great options!

Overused as a first name?As a middle name, yes, but I can't think of any babies/kids by the name of Rose.

I'm a fan, it's short and sweet. I generally like common middle names as first names (like Grace, Marie, etc.).

I like it.It's the name of my new niece - Rose Elaine. It's sweet, understated and fresh. (I'm also keeping it short and sweet)

I think it's wonderful as a first name. Too bad it's overused as a middle name, since it sounds so nice in front.

I've always quite liked it. It's warm and intelligent and musical and I get such a beautiful image from it, of candles and pianos and warm brown colors. One of my favorite combos ever is a Rose combo. :)

I love Rose as a first name. :D I especially love it when it's paired with long, kind of OTT middle names - I think it's fun.
