I do like Julie - maybe it should make a comeback.
I don't think people will spell it Robyn. Robin is better anyway. I don't really feel this one is ready for a comeback though.
Carrie can work on it's own and yes I pronounce them the same and live in the US.

Jessie - not so sure about as a full name. If I hear Jessie isn't short for anything I normally think boy but this spelling is girly so I don't know.
James - nice and better than any of the nicknames though Jamie can be nice.
