[Opinions] Ezra and Abel
I am really liking Ezra and Abel lately and I especially like them together. Is it two "themey" to have an Ezra and an Abel in the same sibset? also, does it seem strange to then throw in a non Biblical name? What if Ezra and Abel had a sister named Matilda, is that too weird? or would you rather they had a sister named Naomi? Any thoughts?

I LOVE both of these names. The problem is, a lot of my favorite boy names are very biblical in a sense, like Ezra, Abel, Simon, Silas, Abram, etc., and I feel like I wouldn't be able to use them all together without being theme-y. I think Ezra and Abel are safe, but I also come across the same problem as you with girl names where my favorites are not biblical and it just feels weird to pick some from one and then throw in a random one. Not too sure; can't really decide on it.

I think Ezra and Abel are great names and they sound really good for brothers. I don't think it would matter to have a non-Biblical name thrown into the sib set.

I think Ezra is terrific and I like Abel too. Yes, they are biblical names, but they only really stand out as such because they are little-used. If you picked Jared and Simon as brothers, or Susanna and Deborah as sisters, people probably wouldn't automatically say "oh, they picked biblical names" because they are used to those names in the mainstream. I think Matilda *might* seem the "oddball" to some people, but it wouldn't be a big deal...even less noticeable if there's another non-biblical sibling.

Ezra hurts my eyes and ears. I don't like it at all. I used to hate it but I don't feel as strongly about it anymore. I love Abel! It's a recent love of mine. I'm not sure I would use it in real life, but I guess I could be talked into it. I like it pronounced both like able and like ah-bel.
I don't get an overly Biblical feel from Ezra and I don't think Matilda, Ezra and Abel would make a weird sibet. The brother set works with Naomi as well but I prefer Matilda.

Abel is awesome and Ezra is excellent! I enjoy them both! Obviously as brothers, they would have a Biblical theme. But I think the "theme" that grabs me more is the short and obscure-ness of them. So based on that, neither Matilda or Naomi are the best fit. That said, if I met a Ezra-Abel-Matilda set, I would think that Matilda was the oddball. If I met a Ezra-Abel-Naomi set, I would just think huh, they could've done a smidge better. :) I would do
