Amy doesn't really seem dated to me, but more like Sarah and Elizabeth: so timeless as to be utterly devoid of any kind of character or interest. It isn't as annoying to me as Sarah but that isn't saying very much; just about everything is less annoying than Sarah. But it still seems like a "default" name.
