I have a love/hate relationship with this name.
Depending on my mood it may seem cute or nerdy, sweet or ugly. It's strange and old-fashioned, and for whatever reason feels like a mythological name to me, falling on the same scale as Lyra and Persephone. I love the El-, but the p is so hard, and Elsbeth seems like a wrinkled old hag. The El- is youthful and sweet, but I've never been a fan of Beth, and -peth feels weird. It just feels like it's trying too hard.
I don't know. I want to like it, but I don't think I do.
