[Opinions] Donna!
Hey guys, my current name crush is Donna at the moment! What are thoughts on it? Better by itself or should it have a full name? Any combo ideas? I like Belladonna and Sheldona as full names!

Me and sister were actually talking about that name awhile ago, and we both love Donna. It's cute and very simple. I think it's alright by itself but finding a longer name for it could make it even more special. Possible Combos:
Donna Susanne
Donna Elizabeth
Donna Marguerite
Donna Corinne

It's one of the uglier dated names IMO.Back in the 70s, when we were teenagers, my sister had a friend who had an older sister named Donna. I never met her, but I used to hear about her. It seemed like she was not a very nice person, she was always picking on her younger sister.Years later, in 2009, Donna was killed in the crash of a commuter plane as it was approaching Buffalo NY. She was a flight attendant working the flight. She had fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a flight attendant, after 27 years as a SAHM, and eight months after she started flying, she was killed in a plane crash. So now the name seems tragic. But it's better than either Belladonna or Sheldona.

Donna seems dowdy and middle aged.Belladonna is a poisonous plant. Isn't Sheldona pronounced differently? I pronounce Donna DAH-na and would pronounce Sheldona as shel-DOH-na.

Donna's actually one of my favorite girl names! I don't care for any of the names that Donna could be a possible nickname for. Even if it's just a current name crush of yours, it's cool you also like the name Donna! As for combinations, Donna Rosemary is my favorite.

I love Belladonna, but it's on the guilty pleasure list. Even I don't think I could actually use it. For some reason, I just don't get the same dark, magical feel from Donna by itself, although I think it's the better option for an actual child. I do like that it reminds me of Donna Noble, from Doctor Who, but even the character association doesn't make me love it enough to put on my list. It doesn't help that someone I knew kept bringing up doner kebabs everytime Donna was mentioned.

Yeah, doner kebabs have differnt names where ever you go! I know that is the British / English / European name for it while is named Gyro more so in America! Then Shwarma for the Middle Eastern name for it! Just funny that you brought thst up!

Hi !!!I looked for it on the database and I found a mistake. Donna is not only a word meaning 'lady' as noble title or to call someone you don't know.Donna is the specific word for 'woman'.So it is so strange for me lol.Byeeeeeeeee

Donna was a massively popular name for girls born in England (I think Scotland as well?) in the 70s/80s. You literally would not have a class at school without at least one little Donna. Curiously, my Ecuadorian/English great-grandmother, born around 1885, was called Donna Rosa. I can see how this would seem weird to an Italian!

Sheldona is so bad it needs no other comment.Belladonna is phony and overblown. There is a famous porn star who uses the name Belladonna; I wouldn't know about her except she rode the schoolbus with me briefly when I first moved to Delaware. (She isn't actually from Delaware, though; I think she was an Air Force brat originally from Utah or someplace) She was loud and obnoxious and thought she was cool. Anyway, years ago she was interviewed on 20-20 or something and me and several other people from my class recognized her.Anyway, Donna doesn't need a full name and has always been given as such. I don't hate it, but I think it's kind of dated and a bit hard, like huge frizzy sprayed hair from the seventies or eighties.
