Love it as a first. Far more than I like it as a second.
I experienced some name-regret when I had
Nadine. I had been debating calling her
Marie, and I was pretty upset I didn't for about two weeks after she was born. She just seemed like a sweet little
Marie.
And that is what
Marie is to me... sweet. Just a fresh, sweet choice on a kid.
Eventually I got over the name regret. Her middle Marikit helped a lot, pronounced like marie, with "keet" on the end.
Still, I think
Marie is just a great choice for a name. It is one of the few that makes me internally "awww" when I hear it. Just a smile-inducing choice. I totally recommend it.
