Ay-VAHN-nah7/10I'd prefer Evana, Evanna looks more like a we-wanted-to-honour-Evan-but-we-had-a-girl name, while Evana, which could also be used to honour an Evan, looks more like a name in it's own right. I'd pronounce Evana as ay-VAH-nah.Evanna and Vanessa first comes to mind.Vanna seems more insubstantial than Evanna, so Evanna is better I think.Evan is an okay name. Evander would be better, but Evan is still nice.
I'm not big on Anna.
I quite like Eve. Evanna, no contest! Evan is a male name to me.

1/5 if pronounced ee-vah-na.3. What names would you expect to see on siblings of Evanna?
I think Evanna would be an only child.4. Would you like Vanna more, or less than Evanna?
I don't like Vanna at all.5. Do you like the name Evan (m)?
Do you like Anna?
Do you like Eve?
Like Evan & Anna, dislike Eve (but like Eva a lot).6. Would you rather see/be Evanna (f), or Evan (f)?
Evanna maybe.

Evanna was, at one point, a Top 10 name of mine. I loved it! It's still on my PNL, but I'm not as passionate as I used to be about it. If I had to give a "rating," it would be 4 stars.I've always instinctively pronounced it as eh-VAN-uh, though from what I understand most people say it with a long E in the beginning.Evanna is in the same name family as most "Arthurian" or Celtic (mainly Welsh) names. It wouldn't be out of place among Guinevere, Gwenith / Gwyneth, Megan / Meghan, Rhiannon, Aneirin, Gareth, Gavin / Gawain, Morgan, etc.I consider Evanna miles ahead of Vanna, which seems to me too much like a nickname rather than a full name (and is also heavily associated with Vanna White).Evan on a guy is okay, I'm not opposed to it, but it has also always seemed to me to be a bit... weak. I don't know. It's softer than most masculine names I'm used to hearing, so I can see how it caught on in feminine usage (e.g. Evan Rachel Wood). Anna, meanwhile, is a very recent love of mine - I'd never even thought about it as a name until there was a post on here asking about it, which made me consider how pretty it actually is (especially paired with an unexpected middle name). Eve by itself is perfectly all right, though not my style. Finally, I would much rather meet a little Evanna than a little female Evan. Evanna would be refreshing in real life.

1. How do you pronounce Evanna?
Like Evan plus "uh" ať the end.2. What do you think of it?
Rate itI quite like the sound. It seems a bit dated and made-up, but works great as a honoring name for Eve / Eva / Anna / Evan.
Evanne / Evanna can also be a more "low brow" variant of Evadne if you think Evadne is too out there. If you don't like it, what don't you like about it?
See above; looks like a mashup (and it is).3. What names would you expect to see on siblings of Evanna? My first thought would be another mashup name like Jonika or Ronetta. But it works with "legit" names as well. Joshua? Jessica? Vanessa? Alex?4. Would you like Vanna more, or less than Evanna?
Vanna is funny because it's also a word for bath tub in my language. I prefer Evanna.5. Do you like the name Evan (m)? It's ok, just boring.Do you like Anna? Love it, overused but sweet and timeless.Do you like Eve? Yes, way better than Evie. A well-known Biblical name that sounds fimiliar but has never been super popular.6. Would you rather see/be Evanna (f), or Evan (f)?Evanna. Evan would be too gender-confusing.

1. e-VAN-ə or ee-VAN-ə
2. I like it a lot, it sounds elvish and sylph-like. It would fit a fantasy character well, I'd give it a 7/10
3. Fern? Micaiah?
4. Less - it's pronounced like the Polish word for bath.
5. Yes to all three.
6. Evan

ee-VANN-ehSeems kind of....manufactured, I guess? Like someone just wanted to stick "anna" on Eve. It's not terrible, but I don't love it. I'd rate it 5.I'd expect to see siblings of Evanna be called Beverly, Nancy, and Kenyon. I'm saying this because the only real life example I've seen, except with a slight spelling difference, was Eveanna Clutter, of the "In Cold Blood" murders, and those were her siblings' names. Otherwise, I'd skip this question entirely.I like Evanna more than Vanna.I like Evan, dislike Anna, and like Eve.As a female, I'd much rather be named Evanna than Evan. But would rather be named Eve than Evanna.I edited this because I realized that I'd transcribed my pronunciation of the name incorrectly. No big deal, and probably nobody cares, but it takes a minute at most so why not.

If you don't like it, what don't you like about it?
I've never encountered it IRL.
There are lots of worse names out there, but even more better ones. So, maybe 45%?
It sounds like an unsuccessful attempt at Yvonne. Even looks a bit like that! And I prefer other fem forms of John.
3. What names would you expect to see on siblings of Evanna?
No clue! Sorry.4. Would you like Vanna more, or less than Evanna?
Vanna wouldn't work in South Africa, where so many lns start with Van - Van Zyl, Van der Merwe, Van Breda ...5. Do you like the name Evan (m)?
I prefer other forms of John to Evan, especially the wondrous Ieuan and also Ianto if we're staying with Welsh.
I knew a really tedious Evan once, and it also sounds like a Cockney version of Heaven.
Do you like Anna?
Anna is OK - a good friend's daughter - but I have personal reasons for preferring Anne!
Do you like Eve?
Yes. My aunt Eva was sometimes known as Eve, and a school friend is Evelyn, always called Eve. In both cases I prefer Eve to their full names.
6. Would you rather see/be Evanna (f), or Evan (f)?
Evanna, definitely.

Hi !!!1 I pronounce it eh-VAN-na.2 I rate Evanna 7/10. I like its Celtic vibe but I don't like that it could be a bland of Eva and Anna.3 siblings have Celtic names: Aisling, Lochlann, Connor, Nerys, Deirdre, Moya, Taliesin, Morrigan ...4 I hate Vanna. It is just an elderly diminutive of Giovanna. It has nothing tied with Evanna. 5 I dislike all them (Evan, Anna, Eve, Eva) but I like Ewan (I know it's another name but it's similar to Evan). Actually I like Evanna only because of the actress, her look and her Irish heritage. Is she who gives Evanna its Irish vibe in my mind. 6 I just prefer Evanna for girls and Evan for boys. Why changing genders? It's meaningless.

1. ee-VAN-a2. 6/10. It's ok, but it looks like a modern-type blended name to me; Eve/Eva + Anna.3. Brothers: Arlen, Merrick, Rowan, Aedan, Brannon, Jaron, Mason, Zeke
Sisters: Caelan, Kirrily, Kahlia, Finley, Sierra, Lilah, Kiara, Penrose, Sariah4. I prefer Evanna over Vanna.5. I like Evan for a boy (prefer Evander slightly more). I like Anna and Eve (prefer Evelyn, Eva & Evelina).6. I'd rather see/be Evanna.

1. I don't know. I see 3 possibilities.2. 5/10
I've never heard it, and I can't tell just by looking at it how to pronounce it.
It mainly looks like Evan + na. Or it's like Ivanna, and in that case, I'd rather see that.
Or it's like e-Vanna, with the ee reminding me of electronic (as in: email, ecig) and Vanna seeming bland.
But it's not something I'd care about if I saw it used.3. What names would you expect to see on siblings of Evanna?
Isabella, Nikita, Sierra, Maleah, Simone, Gabriel, Kieran, Dominic, Elijah, Oliver
I get a vibe of Savannah + Ivanna from it.4. Would you like Vanna more, or less than Evanna?
I'd be indifferent to both.5. Do you like the name Evan (m)? It's okay but seems generic or dated to my generation.
Fits in with Travis, Justin, Owen, Eric, Derek, Devin, Devon, Nathan, Josh.Do you like Anna? Somewhat. 6/10
Do you like Eve? Yes. 7/106. Would you rather see/be Evanna (f), or Evan (f)?
Evan because people know how to pronounce it, and I don't mind Devin as feminine.
Or Evanna, if Eve could make sense as a NN...but I'd pick Evangeline over it, and I don't even like that much.
