I like Veronica for a cat, but my SO and I once had a conversation where he explicitly said we would not be naming a cat Veronica.

Victoria has an undeniable elegance and richness to it. Regal (of course) but also versatile. I would name a daughter Victoria ten times over before I ever thought about Veronica, which I find pretty dated, compared to the timelessness of Victoria.

I feel like Veronica's pretty classic, although it seems vaguely Italian and retro/70s. Victoria seems more international and current/recent.

I don’t dispute that it could work on someone of any age (I honestly think most names can), but it’s very 70s/80s to me. Probably because of Heathers. Agnes is on my list of favourites, though :)
