An old friend of mine named her son
Gage, I guess it was in the early 00s. It's alright, I don't love it. Just a surname name to me, a little awkward because it sounds like a word, but easy to recognize as a name instead, with that spelling - kinda like
Nash. A little better than
Nash, imo.
Friend and her husband admitted they were influenced by Pet Sematary, but didn't care about the character because they just liked the name.
I never saw PS so I didn't care either. The name reminded me, and still reminds me, of
Phineas Gage (famous for surviving a severe brain injury that changed his personality).
