This is my Guiltiest Pleasure in my PNL. It's vintage and charming.
I like Madeline too, but not as much as Magdalena, Madeleine, or even Magdalen. I think the same - Madeline sounds too soft.
Lena is a nice nickname for Magdalena and all of its variants. Magda is nice too. I like Maggie as well, it should be used as a nickname for both Magdalena and Margaret.
